In January 2025 the three-person Algoa FM Breakfast team celebrated five years of hosting the show together – that is the equivalent of 1 300 breakfasts.
The show is a fusion of culture, personality and viewpoints presented by Wayne Hart, Lee Duru and Charlie T (Charlton Tobias).
“To all our amazing listeners, thank you for letting us be a part of your mornings,” says lead presenter Wayne Hart.
“Thank you for sharing your mornings with us — it’s been our greatest joy to bring you laughs, heartfelt moments, great music, and real talk” adds Lee Duru.
“It has been five incredible years of interacting with our listeners on air, online and on the ground,” says Charlie T.
Algoa FM’s most popular show has remained fresh and relevant due to the hard work that the presenters and their producer Cornelius Poisat put into every show, says Algoa FM programme manager Mio Khondleka.
“What happens on air is the tip of the iceberg. The Algoa FM Breakfast Show is hosted by a team of consummate professionals who take pride in their craft and who really care about their listeners.
“That comes clearly through in the warmth of their interactions with the people of Algoa Country,” he adds.
Advertisers benefit from the connection that the team has with its listeners, according to Algoa FM sales manager Dennis Karantges.
