A recent survey of Algoa FM listeners has identified important trends and themes to help advertisers to better connect with the people of Algoa Country.

  • Algoa FM’s audience are social, connected and family oriented. They enjoy watching movies and series. They socialise and exercise regularly.
    • More than 25% of listeners spend their free time doing exercise and being active
    • They respect family values and have a community spirit; valuing relationships, connections and brands that attract this
  • Algoa FM’s audience intend to make some life choice changes this year;
    • 16% (just over one in six people) are likely to buy a house this year.
    • 13% say they are going get married
    • More than 10% of your audience is considering getting engaged in the next year.
    • And 9% say they intend having a baby
  • Algoa FM’s audience enjoys entertainment;
    • Watching series, dining out, and weekends away rank as the highest, whilst more than half of our audience is likely to go on a planned vacation.
  • Algoa FM’s audience is entrepreneurial;
    • 19% of our audience are considering starting a business.
  • Algoa FM’s audience is active;
    • 25% plan to join a health club.
  • Algoa FM’s audience supports the green economy;
    • One in four people in the audience is considering installing solar.
    • 43% will be installing water tanks, and
    • 26% expect to generate their own power through solar.
